Clay touches something very deep within me. I once read that clay is very similar in its structure to our body. When I touch clay, it automatically touches me, speaks to me, changes the way I perceive it, like an intimate dance of my hands with the earth. Fire with it`s brutal strength and everchanging qualities completes the journey. Opening the kiln after firing to find the results surprises, thrills and exhilarates me.
